| Mark J. Puccioni, MD joined Midwest Neurosurgery & Spine Specialists after completing his residency in neurosurgery from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2001. He earned his bachelor of science degree cum laude from Creighton University in 1991 and graduated from medical school in 1995, then completed his internship in general surgery in 1996 from UNMC.
Board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and Pediatric Neurosurgeons, he specialized in both pediatric and adult neurosurgery. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Joint Sections on the Neurosurgery of Tumors, Trauma and Critical Care and Pediatric Neurosurgery. He is also a member of the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons.
He is fellowship trained in Pediatric Neurosurgery, completed at Children’s Medical Center Dallas/University of Texas Southwestern. He is Director of Neurosurgery Residency Training at Children’s Hospital in Omaha. Dr. Puccioni is also a Clinical Assistant Professor for Neurosurgical Residents and a Clinical instructor for medical students and critical care nurses at UNMC. Dr. Puccioni is an Omaha native.
